NHDP Convention and onward!

Those of us who were lucky enough to get to the Democratic Convention September 7 are still coming down from the experience. We heard 18 candidates, New Hampshire’s amazing delegation and numerous other people who held our attention (some more than others) for roughly 11 hours! Put it on your calendars in four years–not to be missed. All are welcome.

We will remind you in three and a half years!

Dawna Pidgeon Chair, Mascoma Forward, and Barbara Jones, Co-Chair, Upper Valley Dems

For the full convention, go to this CSPAN link where you can search for candidates by name and scroll down to their presentations.:
Joe Biden, 00:56:59;
Cory Booker, 01:16:07;
Pete Buttigieg, 01:45:03,
Julian Castro, 02:10:36;
Kamala Harris, 02:50:34;
Amy Klobuchar, 03:16:42;
Beto O’Rourke, 03:40:07;
Bernie Sanders, 04:26:52;
Elizabeth Warren, 05:11:19

Marianne Williamson, 06:36:08;
Andrew Yang, 06:45:02

The convention succeeded in getting us all fired up to work for our candidates and reminded us to remind everyone we know to vote, encourage friends and family to vote and of course we didn’t need to be told that this is the most critical election of all our lifetimes.

Debate parties are sprouting up all over, but the most thrilling place to watch the debates is our own debate party at Gusanoz. Check out our listings for other parties on Thursday.

The other activity is visiting candidates’ offices—two of which have opened in the building above Salt hill in Lebanon. Go visit; drop in; talk to the field organizers. They are all open, friendly and can’t wait to tell you about their candidate and will find many volunteer opportunities for you if asked.

Our program of politics and  women on the campaign trail is coming up on September 23 at the Lebanon Senior Center. Don’t miss it!
