We have decisions coming up fast! Sue Prentiss and Beatriz Pastor are having a rousing campaign. They are both solid, qualified women who will do us proud in the state senate . . . Tough choice! Then the governor’s primary presents us with the same problem—two qualified, affable and smart men who we would be proud to vote for—and we have to get those ballots in soon. So vote in the primary, SEPTEMBER 8! If you still haven’t made up your mind see below for more Zoom sessions and there are plenty of YouTube videos of past events.
Don’t miss “Donuts with Dan” tomorrow in Hanover, Lebanon and Keene, see below for times and places. And lest we forget, our Grafton County Elected Officials will be Zooming with us this Monday, so please send in your questions and sign up.
We are so proud of our BLM protesters. They have attracted lots of attention and have kept this issue at the forefront. Honk your horns or better yet, join them!
The convention held our interest this week and was so wildly successful they are talking about never having it any other way. Mr. Biden got high marks in the papers and the speakers were compelling. Here’s hoping doubters were watching. It showed what Dems are capable of—which is empathy, organization and maturity.
Another month has FLOWN by–another month of masks, semi-isolation, continued pandemic concerns, missing restaurants in their natural states.
Speaking of masks . . . some of us are slipping! There was an altercation near here where police were summoned–no masks. It’s like we live in alternative realities. Wish we didn’t have to second guess why–wish it were a national edict–but here we are in the middle of a true pandemic emergency and everyone is making up their own rules! Wear your masks unless you are alone, in the house or outside social distancing! (that sounds like an edict but it’s really us spouting off.)
Our other main focus is getting absentee ballot forms in as many hands as possible so voters can send them in to their town clerks. People are already receiving their ballots! Anyone who would like to participate in handing packets out should contact us. We have signs. We have packets. We have wonderful destinations! It’s fun!
Pay attention to our Sununu Sad Facts. This governor has charmed his way into our leadership role and he is not a friend to our citizens; he is a friend to his family, corporate donors and to the Republican leadership only. He has vetoed bills designed to assist those affected by the pandemic and treated those bills cynically. We must vote him out.
