Hi, I am Representative Richard Abel, Grafton District 13, Lebanon. I’m running for re-election because I am proud of the work of our Lebanon Representatives Richard Abel, Susan Almy, George Sykes, and Andrew White in serving the interests of Lebanon’s citizens, and I want it to continue.
We have kept our promise to support the values and priorities of the Lebanon community: to enhance opportunity for all, to be fair, to ensure public safety and provide the services necessary for all our citizens to prosper.
We believe in cost-effective and efficient government that maintains the quality of our environment, secures the future of our children and families through access to high-quality, affordable health care, quality education, good jobs, and a vibrant community.
Your Lebanon team of Abel, Almy, Sykes, and White will continue to work for the needs of all constituents: children, millenials, seniors, families, the homeless, employees and employers.
I am committed to permanent status for Medicaid expansion (now providing health insurance for 384 Lebanon residents), and full access to reproductive health and substance abuse treatment, to increasing addiction prevention strategies and fulfilling state promises on mental health treatment. I support raising the minimum wage to a living wage, establishing paid family leave, family-friendly worker protections, and investments in infrastructure that ensure good jobs and a vibrant economy.
I support increased investment in public education and job training. I support fair taxation for residents and businesses alike, and a focus on renewable and sustainable energy strategies, including energy efficiency.
Richard Abel has been endorsed by:
American Federation of Teachers (NH), New Hampshire AFL-CIO, New Futures, and the Sierra Club for his commitment to the environment, to education and public health, and for bringing energy saving jobs to New Hampshire. Rep. Richard Abel has been named a Public Health Champion by the NH Public Health Association for his support of public health priorities.
